Magnetic Jade Ultra Linear Switch is a switch from Gateron, designed for magnetic keyboards (Hall effect keyboards). It works with keyboards that have magnetic N-polarities directed downwards towards the PCB board. The innovative design enables opposite activation of the two parts of the switch, providing a stable and responsive typing experience.The dual-drive modular structure consists of two segments: the upper part controls the keypress, while the lower part activates the release. This creates a more accurate and reliable activation throughout the keypress. The dual background design returns the sound and feel of mechanical switches. By combining a permanent magnet with an acoustic chamber, sound reproduction is optimized, and the dampened sound contributes to a quiet typing experience. The switch's design includes pre-lubed components and a built-in lubrication channel to reduce friction noise.
